At the time of purchase, the Sharper Image used to be the only one with a everlasting filter. So for people who are allergic to the complete thing, you may simply be at an advantage with what Honeywell calls a "True Hepa."
For me as a minimum, I'm doing well with this adaptation, and I'm relieved that I no longer have to buy 70 dollar filters for my old Honeywell laptop.

Okay... The strange scent has disappeared after my first day of full use so possibly it has something to do with the purifier being model new... I highly counsel this product as a consequence of its very sturdy and the bottom really feels weighted so theres no wish to concern about it shifting or falling over while it oscillates!
